What are Complete Dentures?
Complete dentures are a full set of upper and lower dentures designed to replace all missing teeth. They restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile while supporting facial structure and jaw alignment.
Complete dentures may require several appointments to ensure proper fit, comfort, and function. Follow up visits are important as your gums heal and adjust over time.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are placed on the same day natural teeth are removed, allowing you to leave your appointment with teeth right away.
Unlike complete dentures, immediate dentures do not require waiting for the gums to fully heal. This means there is no period without teeth, and you can continue daily activities immediately.
Because the gums change shape as they heal, adjustments or relines are often required over time to maintain comfort and fit.
Post Immediate Dentures
These dentures are created after your natural teeth have been removed and your gums have healed enough to allow for precise impressions. During this healing period, patients will be without teeth for a short time, typically around two weeks. Allowing the gums to fully settle before taking impressions helps ensure a more accurate fit and better long term results.
Post immediate dentures are crafted using detailed measurements and allow for a try in before final completion. This process gives you the opportunity to see and feel the dentures ahead of time, helping ensure comfort, function, and satisfaction with the final result.
WHY CHOOSE BRIGHT SMILES DENTURE CLINIC?
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are a great option for people who are missing only a few natural teeth. They are removable dentures that replace missing teeth while using your remaining teeth for support.
Small, discreet clasps gently wrap around existing teeth to keep the denture secure throughout the day. These clasps are made from durable metal or dental-grade materials and are designed to be thin and comfortable. Partial dentures can be easily removed for brushing your natural teeth and for daily cleaning.
It is recommend having your partial dentures checked every six months to ensure they continue to fit properly. Over time, partial dentures can loosen, which may lead to discomfort, sore spots, or even damage to your remaining teeth.
If you notice ongoing discomfort or changes in fit, it’s important to contact our clinic as soon as possible so adjustments can be made and potential issues can be prevented.

Aftercare and Adjustments
It is normal to experience an adjustment period after receiving complete dentures. Mild irritation may occur as your mouth adapts.
Over time, the gums and bone beneath the dentures may shrink or recede, which can affect fit. Regular checkups allow us to assess your oral tissues and make necessary adjustments, relines, or replacements.
You should never attempt to adjust your dentures yourself or use adhesives long-term without professional guidance.
If you experience discomfort, irritation, or looseness, contact us promptly so adjustments can be made.
